OG Esports’ Indo Pride: OmKurus and AzelfC
OG Esports’ philosophy has always been to support and help develop the local talent. So, when we entered the Indonesian Honor of Kings scene, we knew exactly what to do.
We decided to sign a team that most people did not have faith in because we saw something in them. Out of the eight partner teams in the Indonesia Kings Laga, we are the only one that has an Indonesian local coach too. We knew that with the proper support, their already existing grinding mindset and excellent teamwork would take them far.
Our coach Glen “OmKurus” Padilla was selected to represent Indonesia at both the Esports National Cup as well as the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026. Additionally, our player Drensen “AzelfC” has also been drafted for the Asian Games.
The Esports National Cup is an event organized by the Esports Federation (EF). The ENC will have its first iteration in November 2026 and then be held every two years. This first edition will include 16 competitive titles and will be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 on the other hand will be the 20th edition of the event. The Asian Games, hosted every 4 years, have a total of 45 participating countries/regions. In the case of esports, the event will be held at the Aichi Sky Expo from September 19th to October 4th and will include 11 competitive titles.
Hard work pays off; it's true. But without proper support, many efforts do not come to fruition. This is why we believe in empowering the local talent, and we will always continue to do so. We are more than happy for our representatives on the national team, and we can't wait to see them conquering the world.
